VR is already available in hospitals and has shown amazing results. From supporting children through chemotherapy or physiotherapy, to improving social and behavioural difficulties in autism – as well as reducing levels of pain, stress, depression and anxiety!
VR Therapy is a non-invasive and safe technique based on the projection of interactive 3D graphics through a VR device (goggles and headphones). By placing a headset on, you are isolated from external stimuli, and transported to a virtual environment that has been designed by healthcare professionals for a range of issues.
VR allows you to safely control your interaction with your challenges and practice how to overcome the situation. Whether this is stress, anxiety, moderate depression, talking in front of a large crowd or walking over a bridge and even the fear of flying you can determine how to confront these stressful situations with VR training and with controlled and steady practice you can use VR to conquer the power these issues have over you.
